Fieldwork for schools
Do you want to explore the nature yourself? It is possible with Natuurkampen! Observe and collect plants and animals in the field, and investigate them further. Natuurkampen introduces nature in all its facets to primary and secondary school pupils. We also offer fieldwork projects for undergraduate and graduate education.
“Mam, if we did have this fieldwork assignments before the exam, I probably passed it…!” Student, VMBO
Own research
We offer fieldwork programs for secondary education in geography and biology. Physics, chemistry and history aspects can also be addressed in our programs. During the day programs or multi-day programs students are introduced to fieldwork and conducting their own research. In this way they can supplement their knowledge from the books with the observations and experiences in the field.
Nature experiences, game activities and adventure
In addition to educational activities, there is always room for more playful activities. How about building a bridge over a ditch? Baking bread over a campfire? Or do archery?
Wonder and curiousity
Programs typically last 1 to 5 days. The experience that the students experience in the field during a working week often leaves an indelible impression on them. School work weeks are long remembered.
Programs are always made in consultation with the school so that they match the level and wishes of the school.
At own location?
Do you want to carry out a fieldwork project at your own location? For example, in the vicinity of the school, on the school’s own grounds or in another camp house? This is also possible. We can provide activities within your program or an entire working week. Employees of Natuurkampen come to the location with the fieldwork materials.
