The Schelphoek – Information

For the bedrooms, a mattress cover, pillow cover and duvet or sleeping bag must be brought along. Mattresses and pillows are present. Also bring your own towels, tea towels and toilet paper. Furthermore, the kitchen is fully equipped with pans, pots, a convection oven, microwave, refrigerators, stove, professional dishwasher and crockery. Cleaning products are available here.

The attic in the dormitory building is only rented out for groups over 32 people. (Or for an additional fee of €210.-). There are enough beds in the other dormitories for smaller groups. This is to keep the basic rent as low as possible.

It is possible to rent bicycles on site. The price is € 8.- per bike per day. Please book in time.

The costs for gas, electricity and any cleaning will be charged after the stay and deducted from the payments made. Please transfer the main payment 1 month before your stay.

Parking

There is parking space for approximately 20 cars at the Field Study Center. Follow the ramp to the camp house from the Stolpweg.

Public Transport

Metro Rotterdam Central Station to Rotterdam Zuidplein (10 min.). Bus 136 from Rotterdam Zuidplein to bus station Oude Tonge (36 min.). Bus 133 from bus station Oude Tonge to Schelphoek Serooskerke Schouwen (43 min). From the exit stop at Dijkweg you walk through the parking lot of the restaurant De Schelphoek through the forest, parallel to the provincial road, along the lake to the field study centre (approx. 20 minutes, see map).
